Track inspection vehicles are generally railcars. The one you see in front of you is a work vehicle used by supervisors to inspect routes or survey projects. Track inspection vehicles are the means of transportation for Forest Railway maintenance personnel to conduct route inspections and patrols. Maintenance personnel are like the guardians of track safety. Before trains depart each day, 2 maintenance personnel will form a team and ride the trolley to perform a “morning patrol” to ensure that there are no obstacles on the tracks, the tracks are not deformed, the level crossings are functioning properly, and the sleepers of the railroad are replaced promptly. The route inspection must be completed every day before trains can depart. The personnel must also handle landslides, fallen trees, and track maintenance work. Since mountain transportation is inconvenient and large-scale machinery cannot reach certain areas, much of the work must be done manually. Thanks to their dedication to ensuring forest railway safety, we can enjoy a comfortable and smooth journey on the forest railway today.
